Absolute Poker Skin Design Contest!
As some of you already know I recently won the skin design promotion for Absolute Poker, I am really excited because it should be going up for use on the site very soon. I thought it was going to be ready for use last week, but with the WSOP going on it had to be pushed back. Here is what my winning design looks like, and those of you who play on AP, I hope you like it and decide to use it. Enjoy!
Florida State Poker Championships
They have a series of events starting including 3 different No limit Hold 'em Tournaments. There is the Florida Ladies championship. a pot limit Omaha event, and finally the Championship or Main event that will consist of 3 starting days and have a guaranteed prize pool of $250,000.
I will be playing in the Main Event, and possibly doing another "crazy prop bet" with Gregg "Maniac Magee" Mardirosian.
This time we are going to try to raise money for certain charities, so at least our craziness and somewhat stupidity will go to a good cause.

Florida Increases Poker Limits!
On July 1st Florida increased the limits that have been put on poker for the past 10 years. Will this make Florida the Capital of poker in the United States? I think so. Because of the fact that Florida doesn't have any state tax I see a boom in poker coming to Florida. I have already heard of top name pros renting houses in south Florida. Also Harrah's, current owner of the WSOP, is also looking at properties here. Will Florida be the next stop for the World Poker Tour? I would bet on it!
